David laughed and said "Your game is about common people nah, so I'm taking time to put myself in their situation and think of how would they react. Right now I'm not David Dhawan, I'm the common man"

Low TRPs do not mean low viewership: Siddharth Basu
Siddharth Basu of Syergy Adlabs, who will launch Bollywood star Salman Khan on small screen with the game show "Dus Ka Dum", said that low TRPs for a television show does not mean low viewership. "Television audience has become a fragmented lot in the last few years. Viewership has gone up phenomenally and the dominance of particular shows do not exist any more," Basu said here. He said TRPs were not neccessarily the absolute standards of judging the popularity or viewership of a show.
Basu said 'Kaun Banega Crorepati' (KBC) in its first season hosted by Amitabh Bachchan had 18 TRPs while the third season hosted by Shah Rukh Khan garnered 12 TRPs. "These numbers do not mean the viewership for 3rd season was low considering the huge number of television channels which had come in the last six to seven years," he added. Speaking about Salman, Basu said "Dus Ka Dum" adapted from the hugely successful American multi-million dollar game show "Power of 10" hosted by Drew Carey. "It is an entertaining and exciting concept. Salman is a charismatic actor with a huge following. He too liked the concept which is funny and light," he added. The game show goes on air from June six at 2100 hrs and will be telecast every Friday and Saturday. On the show, a contestant who can most accurately predict how the public would respond to the most intriguing poll questions could walk away with Rs 10 crore. He said the original "Power of ten" reaches out all across America to poll thousands of people ask them just about everything. The contestant which gives the best take on the American mindset walks away with millions.

Some people think that I am too moody: Salman
Bollywood actor Salman Khan, who is to anchor Sony TV’s new reality game show ‘Dus Ka Dum’, has turned a blogger and writes in his first entry that he takes all his decisions on instincts rather than calculations.’All my decisions are based on my instincts and some people think that I am too moody and cynical,’ Salman writes in his blog.’Believe me, I have been guided by my instincts and my heart all my life! I do not depend too much on intelligence, analysis and calculations.’ Salman, who has often been in the news for wrong reasons, says that earlier he had his own reservations about anchoring a show. ‘I still remember the day when my brother Sohail Khan brought the proposal to anchor a show for Sony Entertainment Television. I had my reservations. The idea sounded so impractical that I rejected it even without giving it much thought,’ he wrote. But then what attracted him to ‘Dus Ka Dum’?‘There is no false shame and sense of humiliation on the show if your answer is wrong. Sample survey has determined the exact answers in form of percentage and the one who answers nearest to the exact answer is the winner. This game is simple. It is a game of guessing.”Dus Ka Dum’ is a game inspired by the US game show ‘Power of 10?, in which the contestant who predicts most accurately how the public would respond to poll questions walks away with millions. The show begins on Sony Entertainment Television June 6.

Salman Khan's new found love!
Television, it seems, is Salman Khan's new found love. For, he has put his Bollywood commitments on hold.
At present, our sexy Sallu is enjoying 'Dus Ka Dum - Power of Ten'. And he is working really hard to make an impact with his debut on the small screen.
Earlier, there were reports that the actor is taking tips from King Khan who hosted game shows. Knowing Salman, the tips he would be taking is - "Boss, how I keep my shirt on?" Knowing Salman, that’s going to be a major task because he’s one cool dude who knocks off his shirt before you can blink!
Wonder what his lady love, Kat has to say about her beau’s foray into television? Considering the moolah that the small screen’s generating, is Katrina too tempted to toy with the television?
So what's 'Dus Ka Dum' all about? Think like India thinks and you can win Rs.10 crore! There are interesting questions that will incite everybody to start thinking. Anybody can win the game. You don’t have to be a bookworm. All you need is 50 per cent common sense and 50 per cent perception of how Indians think.
Anyways, if you don't manage to take home some moolah, you still would've had a chance to share space with the sexy Khan. A win-win situation all the way through! The show would be aired from June, 2008.
